Building with Fine Line Homes was a really good experience. They were extremely responsive to our questions and changes that we wanted to make along the way. Other people warned us against building because costs can easily escalate, but Fine Line came right in at the price quoted. We used Fine Lines to build our dream home in March 2020. We were very pleased with the majority of our experience. When you build a home there are many different professional roles that need to come together to successfully accomplish this task. Very pleased with our new home. Our experience with Fine Line Home has been excellent. Starting with our salesman Brandon who helped us get started. With the building, Bob was there to answer any of our questions when the house was being built. Rob has helped us with any problems we have had post moving into the house. They were prompt about answering our texts or phone calls and made us feel we could call anytime with any questions. I would recommend anyone who wants to build a new home to stop in and see them.
Our home was started in November of 2019 and we were expected to move in May of 2020. Unfortunately, Covid hit and our home construction was shut down for 7 weeks. While this was very disappointing, none of it was the fault of Fine Line Homes. From start to finish all the folks from Fine Line were topnotch, went above and beyond, and were very accessible. George, Steve, Steve, Barb, Ron, and Gloria all made our experience a pleasant one. We took the Hudson floor plan, made alterations to fit our needs and we couldn’t love it any more. The fact that Fine Line Homes will make alterations to their floor plans puts them head and shoulders above other home builders.
When we were looking to build, we absolutely fell in love with Fine Line Homes’ Manhattan home design. We will never forget the first day we walked into the model home and were blown away by it. We had our new home built by the Athens, PA office. Our journey began in October 2019 with Brandon Meyers, Housing Consultant. We met with Brandon after having met with other home builders and immediately decided that Fine Line Homes was going to be our choice. Brandon was very kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. We started the process in early 2020, and then the Covid-19 pandemic hit. I could fill a book with the stories of how Brandon worked with us and helped us through many setbacks. Some were related to price increases, and some were due to major snags with permits from our township. Nothing was Fine Line’s fault; it was all just bad timing and circumstances. Brandon could have easily given up on us or lost patience, but he was totally awesome through all of that craziness.

The experience we had building our home with Fine Line Homes was truly second to none. From the inception of the project to the closing date, everyone involved helped make it a pleasant, efficient, and easy-to-understand venture. Our journey was a little different than most, however. While nearing our completion date, my wife fell very ill with an extremely rare immune disorder that threatened her life as well as the life of our 27-week old son. She had an emergency procedure to help restore her breathing and our son was delivered prematurely. The last thing on our mind was the final details for finishing and moving into our beautiful new home.

Our experience with building a home has not been the smoothest. I would like to commend Fine Line Homes for being so extremely helpful in turning what could have been the worst decision of our lives, into a great outcome and a perfect home.
Our journey started out bumpy and only got rougher the more roadblocks we encountered. Between our bank not giving us all of the information we needed, having to push our closing date off a total of three times, the county being absolutely stubborn with their permits, and the land seller not putting in the sewer we were legally promised, our beginning was definitely trying. During the beginning, we met numerous times with our Housing Consultant, and what exciting meetings these were! Planning what we wanted our forever home to look like, picking our floor plans, tweaking and changing things to exactly the way we wanted them. From carpet to countertops to lights and cabinets. So much fun! The Consultant helped with every step and literally every detail down to every outlet of the house, even putting up with myself with pregnant and very hormonal at times.
Once we started the physical building process, the Construction Consultant was our contact and what a huge support she was. As we excitedly made trips to our big hole in the ground that turned into a basement and next, a few walls that turned into our home, she was there every step of the way. Giving us updates, making sure we knew what to expect, and helping us stay on track. The house was put on pause until the sewer was extended. The very minute the sewer lateral was placed, Fine Line was back in action and had the house finished in no time. They were so responsive with all of the delays, with which we had no control over.
The foreman was great as well. He was the eyes and ears of our home as it was being built and did our final walkthrough with us when everything was complete. He was pointing out things that we probably would not have noticed, had he not been on top of it.
We decided to go with Fine Line as our builder because their homes seemed to be built with better quality products and workmanship than other builders in the area. From the first conversation to the day we moved in, they provided nothing but excellent customer service. As first time home builders, we were overwhelmed and anxious about the building process. Fine Line was there to answer all of our questions and put our minds at ease. No question went unanswered. We recommend Fine Line Homes to all of our friends and family. If we build again, with no question, our builder would be Fine Line. We love our home!

Making the decision to build your first home can be scary. After extensive research, we chose Fine Line Homes. It was definitely the right choice. We chose Fine Line Homes after exhausting research with private home building contractors as well as other large contracting companies. We have had homes built in the past, one in Williamsport, and one in Omaha, Nebraska and are very familiar with home construction. Also, my father was a home building contractor for over 40 years in the Williamsport area and with me being his dedicated helper I was exposed to every facet of construction.
With that background, we made the decision to go with Fine Line Homes after a detailed review of their plans, materials, techniques, scheduling and construction crews. Dedication to quality and service were also primary factors. From the financial aspect, we were very pleased with their communication with our lending institution, as well as the bank’s recommendation.
We picked the Stockton plan for its floorplan which gives us the living space we required, and all on one floor.
Fine Line worked on the lot layout, excavation, basement construction and the house, completing construction to the plan in the 6 months quoted from the start. All operations went smoothly, considering that they had some drywall subcontractor problems, which they worked hard to resolve and maintain the schedule and quality of workmanship.
We are very satisfied with our decision to contract with Fine Line, and are extremely pleased with our beautiful home. Our 1-Year Fix List had only minor fixes listed, and the list was accomplished with one technician for about 6 hours.
