This year, we at Fine Lines Homes have so many great new house plans.  One of the plans that really excites me is the Belmont. We took our very popular model home in Hazleton, the Manhattan, downsized it by having the primary suite on the first floor by eliminating the flex room and office.  Having a primary bedroom on the 1st floor is quite a trend these days with all of us “baby boomers”.  I love having the primary suite on the first floor simply for convenience. It all depends on what you want. Ask yourself where you’re going to be in twenty years…. Will you be able to climb stairs? Probably. Will you really want to? Probably not! Primary bedrooms on the first floor mold a home to serve its homeowner at all stages of his or her life.

First floor primary bedrooms also allow the owner of the house to be separated from those who are living on the upper floors. Perhaps you’d rather have your less than quiet teenager and their not so quiet friends reside in a far off second floor bedroom while you enjoy a peaceful day of reading and sleeping in your 1st floor private suite.

The beauty of the “Belmont” is that it still has the huge kitchen, soaring ceilings with abundant windows in the family room and foyer, like our model the” Manhattan”.  I had clients build this home before it even made it into our brochure because they wanted our Manhattan model with a main floor primary suite.   My response “Wow do we have a plan for you!”
