Now that we have weathered the “Artic Vortex” and only wear 2 layers of warm clothing when we venture outside, the Harrisburg real estate market has released its sales figures for the year 2013.

It showed some very positive signs that the local housing market may very well be turning the corner and showing positive signs of growth.

The number of homes sold in 2013 increased 9.3 percent over sales in 2012. This solid increase highlights 10 straight quarters of home sales growth since mid-way through 2011.

Median sale prices are up also having increased 1 percent from 2012 numbers. And a number most interesting to home sellers was that the average days that a home remained on the market dropped to 98.

This number again shows a positive health in our local Harrisburg housing market.
