With so many home plans in our portfolio and new plans being added every year, it is impossible to have homes built of each model available for tour. Yet, home buyer feedback tells us that it is difficult for some people to envision a finished home when just looking at black and white floor plan artwork.
To help our customers get a better feel for a home’s livability when reviewing presentation floor plans, we worked with Design Basics out of Omaha, Nebraska. Their research showed that the 4 primary “lenses” buyers view through to determine a home’s suitability for their household are entertaining, de-stressing, storing and flexible living. They’ve labeled it Livability At A Glance® and use a color palette on floor plans that makes it easier to understand how the home lives while also helping to highlight amenities which might otherwise be overlooked.
When you’re considering building a custom home, the better you can picture yourself actually living in the home at the beginning of the process, the more likely you will end up with exactly what you had in mind when it’s completed!
