How to Divide Plants

By |2021-03-23T11:08:45-04:00June 1st, 2014|Home Ownership|

Make the most of your perennials by dividing and transplanting favorites that have outgrown their homes. planting flowersWhy divide and transplant? Plants need space to thrive. When they become too big for their garden spots, powdery mildew coats leaves, insects chow down on blooms and stems, and centers become brown. A Time for Reflection

By |2020-01-22T08:45:13-05:00May 23rd, 2014|Uncategorized|

Memorial Day is fast approaching. It is a Holiday that I very much look forward to celebrating. While not a veteran, I’m most appreciative of those men and women who have served our country and provided the freedom we enjoy today. For as long as I can remember I have walked in the New Columbia parade, first with my children and the last several years with the grandchildren. The parade ends at the cemetery and a brief service is held. Pictures of veterans who have lived in White Deer Township are displayed. This coming Monday, May 26th take time to attend a parade and commemorative service and be sure to thank a veteran.
